Can Christians Hear From God?
Yes they can and I would bet most already do, but do the wrong thing once they hear. Even in Job it is mentioned look at it this way: For God speaketh once (one word), yea twice (two words), yet man perceiveth it not. Job 33:14 (KJV). I had even asked my grandson (19 yrs old) if he had ever had a word pop into his head (mind) and he had no idea why as he wasn't thinking about that? He told me yes. Now he is in the word and believes strongly in the Lord. I told him next time it happens to stop and open his online bible and type the word or 2 words in search the scriptures see if anything comes up. I told him to check the gospels first see if Christ spoke anything, then look for "out of the mouth of God" not man's words and scroll thru and read them see if a verse jumps out to him. He said he would. If it is God it will be God's words not something written or spoken by a man. If you have never experienced this we are told to "ASK" so ask the Lord for a word.
Can Satan Give Words From Scripture?
Yes, Satan used that against Yeshua (Jesus), Satan used scripture stating this: And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. What was Satan quoting from scripture? Mans words spoken by David, David is not the mouth of God now is he? Neither is Paul, nor words spoken by prophets that are not "saith the Lord'. This is exactly what Christ spoke to get rid of Satan: But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.Matthew 4:4 (KJV) Satan will quote you scripture try to get you to read things not out of the mouth of God. So that is why it is important to read only out of mouth of God scriptures, that includes Yeshua (Jesus) words He is God.
If you find and read only out of the mouth of God scriptures, Satan will stop giving you words. Do you realize how much of your bible is words of man and not God? Yeshua told us His words would not pass away, so look how small the text will be in heaven. Man's words don't get it done...I use and find scriptures to take to Father, that were spoken by Him or Yeshua: I and my Father are one. John 10:30 (KJV) I even have a website addressing how I will pray. Prayer | Word of God Some might ask why? It is because I have faith in what God says will happen same with Christ, so I find scripture quoted that apply to my needs or others needs that I pray for and take the Lord His word then ask for them to happen for whom ever I pray for, including myself.
So next time you have a word or two pop into your mind (that you should have given to the Lord) go to scripture and search the word or two out.
